SmartWeigh Body Fat Scale

Image
No woman enjoys stepping on the scale, but it's a necessary evil. But you can make the experience better with the right scale. Thanks to SmartWeigh i've been using the Smart Weigh Body Fat Scale for the past month, and it's a great scale. The tempered glass platform and stainless steel accents contribute to its contemporary look. The scale features different user profiles, and through a simple set-up process, the scale can be programmed to automatically recognize up to eight users. This scale does moren than tell you what you weigh. The scale measures body weight, body fat, body water, and muscle and bone mass. This information will help monitor your health status. The scale turns on the moment you step on it, no tapping or switches, making it super easy to use. It features a large negative LCD display that is easy to read. The scales uses BIA technology to provide fitness information about yourself with just a few details. This scale comes auto calibrated and uses 2

Grazia Silicone Baking Cups

Image
I love to bake, especially cupcakes. They are perfect for so many occasions. But i hate when you bake a cupcake in a paper liner and the liner fades and looks dingy and kind of off color. So i've been wanting to try silicone liners for a while, hoping not to have that problem. Than i got the chance to try Grazia silicone liners and they are perfect! They are FDA approved and BPA free. No harmful chemicals to worry about, the cups are 100% eco-friendly pure food grade silicone. Because they are 100% silicone, they are also stain resistant. No fading when they bake or staining because you made bright pink cupcakes. They fit your cupcake trays perfectly, or just set them on a baking sheet! The cups stay upright and hold their shape even on a flat cookie sheet.   The cups aren't just for cupcakes either. The baking cups are safe for hot (up to 450°) or cold use, so they are great for serving muffins, ice cream treats, and snacks. Of course my favorite part is no pa

Mint Glazed Devils Food Cookies

Image
It's the time of year, the tree's are up, the houses shine with lights, and the ovens are on while people make goodies! I love it. My son and I always make goodie platters for some of our loved ones, and last night we made one of our favorite recipes, that i had to share. Devils Food Cookies glazed with Andes Mints. They are light, but super rich and just so yummy! Ingredients 1 Devil’s Food Cake Mix 1/2 cup oil 2 eggs 1 package of Andes Mints Mix cake mix, oil, and eggs together. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheet.  Bake at 350 for 6-9 minutes. At the 9 minute mark they might not seem done, but don't over cook them. I promise they are done! Fresh from the oven with the andes mints on top When they come out of the oven, while they are still super hot, place 1/2-1 andes mint on top of each cookie, depending on it's size. Using the back of a spoon spread the mints around as they melt. The mints all melted and spread out

Painting Lulu Digital Crayon

Image
Painting Lulu makes the cutest digital crayon stylus! The Digital Crayon provides a "real crayon-like" drawing experience on smart phones and tablets. It's compatible with iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire, Galaxy and many more. The tablet I used it on is an off brand google tablet and it worked great. The Digital Crayon can be also used with the Painting Lulu coloring app for Android, Apple and Amazon devices. The app app offers many great drawings and painting tools to keep kids busy and happy. Use the digital crayon on the Painting Lulu app, pick a drawing, and color away. The digital crayon helps kids with hand-eye coordination along with learning to color, has a thick grip and smooth touch that is easy for little hands to hold, and has a soft rubber tip to prevent damage to touch screen devices. It does have small parts and is not recommended for children under age 3.           I ordered one in Orange, and plan to give it to my son with his tablet for Christmas

I love being able to do these things during the holiday season, especially since i think this will be the last Christmas Landon believes in Santa.  Landon with Santa My boy and I The Mommies 3/4 Kids (little B was in his stroller)

Empire of Sin By Gary Krist

Image
Thanks to Blogging for Books  I received a free copy of "Empire of Sin" by Gary Krist to review. I love history, especially the seedier history of our country, and New Orleans is full of seedy history. The books is amazing! It's very well written, full of action and mystery and crime. I cannot say enough good things about it. The only problem is, most of what i want to say would be a spoiler for the actual book. So, i will share with you the books synopsis and say this, if you like seedy history, or intrigue and crime novels, or even just New Orleans, you should read this book!       "From bestselling author Gary Krist, a vibrant and immersive account of New Orleans’  other  civil war, at a time when commercialized vice, jazz culture, and endemic crime defined the battlegrounds of the Crescent City.         Empire of Sin  re-creates the remarkable story of New Orleans’ thirty-years war against itself, pitting the city’s elite “better half” against its powerfu
