A must try! Homemade "Satin Hands" by Mary Kay replica

Once upon a time I sold Mary Kay. They make a product that i love love LOVE, called "Satin Hands." Satin Hands is a 3 step system with a "hand softener"(moisturizer), a scrub and a hand cream. Using it made your hands feel baby butt smooth, LOL.

Yesterday my best friend in the whole world shared a post with me on facebook for a homemade version of the scrub. I was intrigued. It consists of 2 ingredients and takes about 3 minutes to make. So i figured i would give it a try. Oh my goodness! I used the scrub, which felt and smelled amazing, and then my favorite hand lotion and my hands are now baby butt smooth. It is, in my opinion, just as good as the satin hands set and it didn't cost me $34. (YAY)

I cannot verify the origins or creator of this recipe. I traced it back to a post by a nice looking lady named Holly (https://www.facebook.com/holly.capron.5) but i couldn't find out if she created it or just found it online. If anyone knows this info feel free to let me know, i love to give credit where credit is due. Now, on to the good stuff.

Knockoff Mary Kay Satin Hands Sugar Hand scrub

Fill a mason jar 3/4 of the way full with sugar. Then add dawn dish soap until it reaches just below the mouth of the jar. (She recommends using the Olay Hand Renewal, which i did) Stir the sugar and soap together until it is paste like. If it seems to be too runny, add a little sugar at a time until it is the desired consistency.

I recommend keeping this is an airtight container, to keep any stray ants out. (It is made with sugar after all) In a small mason jar with a cute ribbon and homemade tag this would be a great gift.

I used mine as soon as it was made. Again, my hands are so soft and smooth. And the scrub really smells so good. And it's pink! I made a label for mine and have it next to the bathroom sink.

Oh. My. Gosh. I sold MK for about a minute a few years ago and by far the best thing was Satin Hands. I am giving this a try and making some for my son's teacher. Just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week!
Thanks for posting!
