L'oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

Image
Thanks to Influnester and L'oreal Paris I have been using a great new shampoo and conditioner system. L'oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave in Oil treatment. If you're anything like me you read the word "oil" and automatically think "nope!" Let me assure you, this hair care system contains oil but does NOT leave your hair feeling oily, greasy or weighed down at all. My experience has been the opposite actually. My hair is soft, silky smooth, easy to style, and has so much volume. My hair looks and feel healthy, which for someone who colors their hair and uses heat to style it on a regular basis is huge.    The shampoo  contains Coconut, Argan, Chamomile, Amla, Soja, and Sunflower oils. The conditioner  also contains Coconut, Argan, Chamomile, Amla, Soja, and Sunflower oils. The leave in treatment, contains   Coconut, Argan, Chamomile, Amla, Soja, and Sunflower oils. The blend of oils and the light scent of all three s...

Miriam by Mesu Andrews

Image
“Miriam” is an imagining of the life of Miriam, the sister of Moses. It is the 2 nd book in the “Treasures of the Nile” series. The first book is “The Pharaoh's Daughter.” I had not read the first book and was able to follow the story perfectly. Most who know the bible know the story of Moses, of the plagues, of the first Passover, and of the exodus from Egypt made by the Jewish people. Mesu Andrews uses her novel to take you deeper into the story, using biblical knowledge with historical knowledge to make the story and it's characters really come to life. It's obvious that Mesu Andrews has taken the time to really research for her books and that adds a good depth to the story.  In Miriam we find a women who is strong in her faith, sure of her God, but also human. Miriam is a gifted midwife and healer, blessed with the gift of prophesy. She has a strong sense of what is right, and even when facing the Pharaoh she does what would honor God. She is the type of g...

Hope Unfolding by Becky Thompson

Image
As parents, as mothers, I think sometimes we all wonder if we are doing our best. Did I love them enough today? Will they remember me shouting at them when they are 30? Why can’t I seem to balance everything? Does it ever get easier? In these moments we often just need to sit and relax, and hear the voice of God reminding us he knows our struggles and has not forgotten us. His word is enough to calm our fears if only we listen. In “Hope Unfolding” Becky Thompson writes as one would write to a friend, reminding us we are not alone and sharing personal stories along with God’s word. This book will lead you to encounter God’s  presence , confidence in your job as a mother, faith that you are doing enough, and hope that your purpose is in God’s hands. This book has chapters that are short, and easy to read, which is perfect for busy mothers. A chapter read during a childs nap or snagged during those blessed moments of silence when the kids are in bed is easy to...

What my chronic illness looks like now

It's been a while since i blogged. My health is still not good, still no answers to the constant headache, or frequent migraines. The body pain and muscle weakness is probably fibromyalgia, but we are still exploring that. It's been a long, hard road. It's been almost two years of pain and the frustration of having no answers. I have gone through every migraine medication the neurologist can prescribe, with nothing really working. I have even had two rounds of botox injections for my migraines, and still no relief. I have tried several alternative remedies and many supplements, including trying acupuncture once. (Oh my goodness do i hate needles!) I have even ventured so far as to try medicinal marijuana, but nothing has truly helped. I cannot begin to describe the pain, the frustration and the hopelessness that comes with constant pain. The life i was living seems like a memory of a movie, it's so alien to how life is now. I have faith that God has a plan, that there i...

Queller Crafts knit TMNT Beanies

Image
I love knit items. They always have so much class and personality and are unique. Which is why I love  Queller Crafts  on etsy. Queller Crafts is run by  Amalia Queller, who makes all her items in her own home. Her items are cute, unique and very well made. The item we received was a set of 4 TMNT beanies. My son and nephews LOVED them. They all tried them on right away, and each child got their favorite of the 4 turtles thanks to the set including all 4. They will make winter days just a little more fun.  Her shop also features adult items, and some of the cutest homemade printed tops you'll find anywhere. You can check her out on  etsy ,  facebook , and on  instagram . With Christmas coming up, i recommend her shop as a great place to get some gifts! Landon rocking his awesome Michelangelo TMNT Beanie This is apparently his "touch turtle" face Another product of hers i super love,  a DR who knit outfit for babi...

Being a landlord can be a risky venture. I found this out myself a few years ago when I rented a room to a former friend. This is what a man named Songhua also discovered when he became a first time landlord. Most landlords check a credit report, but that doesn't give the whole picture, and bank statements proving you have enough income for rent can be faked. Songhua knew there had to be a better way to check out prospective tenants and protect himself as a landlord. Thus Tenantify was born. Tenantify is a third-party website that verifies employment and uses a secured bank account API to deliver the landlord a authenticated bank statement that is void of any sensitive personal information. This allows the landlord to be sure they are not being lied to by potential tenants, and alliviates some of the risk of renting. Tenantify is easy to use, and is free for landlords, with a small cost for renters. Tenantify's goal is to reduce friction in the housing market a...
