I had big plans this week to blog everyday, plus work on homework and both my papers, but then life got hectic. Blogging and product reviewing is so much fun, and i have a huge passion for it. But it has to come second to school and family, and this week, with two 10+ page papers to write school has been the center of everything, lol. After tomorrow, when we celebrate thanksgiving and my midge goes off to his dad's for the week of Thanksgiving break, i will be back in full force, catching up on posts, posting a few recipes and showing off some pictures from Thanksgiving, plus another more in depth life update by the end of the month.                                       I am weird when I sleep. On all but the coldest nights of the year, I like my face to be cold. I also find when I have a bad headache or migraine, which I get chronically, the cold on my head and neck helps. Which is why the PolarGel pillow is pretty great.       I am currently taking two online classes through the Massachusetts Institute on Technology. These both involve lectures, totaling  at least six and a half hours of me sitting and taking notes, plus homework. After a while that becomes terribly uncomfortable. The very mention of black friday makes some people shudder. There is good reason. People get trampled, pushed down, punched, wait in lines in hours in the cold, all so they can get the best stuff for the lowest prices. I once had a much older woman than me hit me with a shopping art over a heavy winter jacket. It gets crazy out there. So how can we conquer the stress and still save? Good question!    My first piece of advice to conquer the madness is to shop the pre-sales. Beginning around the first of November stores start having great sales. Amazon  has their lightening deals of the day, Walmart  has their early bird online specials, Target's cartwheel app  has 50% toys every day from 11/1-12/24, which you can read more about in my previous post . Today Landon and I did a nice little fall craft. We made a center piece for the dining room table with glitter pinecones in a leaf shaped dish. It actually was really hard to find the pinecones. We went to 3 parks, and found  2 little ones. On the way home we drove by the old hospital, and low and behold right there next to the road was a whole mess of pinecones!  We picked up 3 nice sized big ones and Landon picked out another cute little one. We took them home and baked them at 225 degrees for 20 minutes on a foil lined cookie sheet. This kills any bugs that might be living inside them, and causes them to open, which makes them a little more aesthetically pleasing. After they come out of the oven make sure to let them cool down completely.  While they are cooling down you can get your supplies together.   Thanks to Red Rover Naturals I have had the pleasure of trying out and reviewing their old factory Candle set.
